Ellen M. (Fitzpatrick) Bandini

Ms. Ellen M. (Fitzpatrick) Bandini, of Weymouth, formerly of Waltham, died on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Care One in Weymouth after an illness at the age of 82. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family.

Ellen was born October 22, 1942, in Boston. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Joseph Fitzpatrick and Edna Mary (Sykes) Fitzpatrick. She was raised in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School.

At the age of 19, Ellen married and moved to Framingham to start her family. She later resided in Weymouth, and ultimately Easton while serving as a homemaker and devout mother. In these years she filled her home with love, always welcoming friends and family. She was a fierce “Mama Bear,” always protecting her family and teaching life lessons. In her later years, she moved to a senior community in Canton.

Ellen loved reading her books and spending time with her children and especially all her granddaughters. She was an active member at her senior center. She loved to socialize with her many friends and enjoyed going on day trips, playing card games and Bingo. Her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ellen leaves her children, Mary Ellen Migre (Jeffrey) of Hanover, Daniel H. Bandini Jr. (Adrienne Wong) of El Sobrante, CA and Brian P. Bandini (Kelly) of Stow; her grandchildren, Tori, Hailey and Catherine Migre, Isabel Bandini, Addison Bandini and Sara Bandini; her former husband, Daniel H. Bandini Sr. of South Dennis; aunt to Julie Genova of Concord, Joanna Tonkovich of New Canaan, CT, and Paul Bolles of Merrimack, NH; sister of the late Paula Bolles (late Paul) and late Martha Fitzpatrick.

Family and friends will honor and remember Ellen's life by gathering for a Morning Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, May 5th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
