Elizabeth A. 'Betty' (Dowd) Pierce

Shrewsbury - Elizabeth A. (Dowd) Pierce died peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, October 24, 2026 in UMass Medical Center. She was 79.

Beloved wife of 54 years to Harry L. Pierce, she leaves her twins, Andrew R. Pierce (Susan) of Jefferson and Lynn M. Keeley (Brian) of Shrewsbury; her grandchildren, Hayden and Harrison 'Harry' Pierce and Owen and Emma Keeley; her sister, Mary Morawski of Charleston, South Carolina and the late John Dowd (late Maryann), Bernard Dowd, and Joann Brosnan; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Betty's life by gathering for an Afternoon Wake in The Eastern Shores Club, 206 South Quinsigamond Avenue, Shrewsbury on Sunday, November 1st from 2 to 5 p.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 2nd in Saint Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
