Northborough - Eddy Santana had an infectious smile and an adventurous spirit. He loved nature and the outdoors, keep active with a myriad of sports including hockey and soccer.  Eddy was happiest when scaling walls of rock to climb and hiking in the great outdoors. He also had a keen fascination with cars and loved to cook!

He had a large network of really good friends and loved life. With a desire for new experiences and opportunities he and his girlfriend, Breanna, moved to Arizona settling in Gilbert nearby his dad just four months ago.

Eduardo M. ’Eddy’ Santana was born on February 26, 1997 in San German, Puerto Rico he was a son of the Elizabeth Rodriguez and Ricardo Santana. He moved at age three to Westborough and then Northborough. He graduated from Algonquin High School in 2015.

Eddy died tragically after being struck by a vehicle after he stopped in an HOV lane while driving his motorcycle on December 8, 2022 in Arizona. He was 25. 

Let us all remember Eddy as always smiling, happy, free-spirited with a never-ending willingness to help others, kind, compassionate….and whose favorite colors were pink, grey and white.

Eddy had earned his certification in pharmacy tech and been studying and furthering his career in this field.

He leaves his mother, Elizabeth Rodriguez and her fiancé, Tom Bolduc of Northboro; his father, Ricardo Santana and wife, Rachel of Gilbert, Arizona; his brother, Ricardo 'Ricky' Santana and wife, Valerie of Phoenix, Arizona; his step-brother, Mitch Bolduc of Holden; half-siblings, Alejandro and Antonio Santana of Gilbert, Arizona; his girlfriend, Breanna Uhlman of Westborough; his grandmother, Iliana Laracuente of Puerto Rico; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will honor and remember Eddy’s life by gathering to visit, celebrate his life and share memories with his family on Friday, December 30th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in The Café at Liberty Church, 495 Boston Turnpike, (Rt. 20) Shrewsbury. Please omit flowers.
