Doris T. Giamo died peacefully in the comfort and presence of loved ones in her much-loved home in Weston on Sunday, October 19, 2025. She was 91.

Doris was born in Waltham on August 8, 1934, a daughter of the late Dominic and Grace Giamo, and was raised in Waltham before moving to Weston with her mother in 1975, a town she treasured until her death. For the past 18 years, Merriam Village was Doris’ home, where she became part of a wonderful community and made meaningful friendships.

Doris graduated from Waltham High School in 1952 and retired from a successful career as a Senior Office Assistant at Shell Oil Products Company’s New England District.

A devout Catholic, Doris was a member of St. Julia Church in Weston which was the center of her spiritual life for over 45 years. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, administering Holy Communion to residents of nursing homes and a passionate participant in the weekly Eucharistic Adoration.

In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her brothers Frank Giamo and Joseph Giamo, both of Weston, and sisters Mary Duddy and Minnie Martenson, both of Auburndale. Two beloved nieces and one nephew also predeceased Doris.

She is survived by her best friend and sister-in-law, Roseanne Giamo, also of Weston. In addition, “Aunt Doris” is survived by her cherished nieces, Judith Dagirmanjian, Mary Lou DeLong, and Diane Pink; her nephews, John Duddy and Joseph Giamo, six great nephews, three greatnieces, three great-great nephews, and seven great great nieces. She cherished her family above all else.

Doris’ family would like to acknowledge the extraordinary and loving care she received through PlatinumCare and Brighton Hospice. They were her angels on earth.

Family and friends will honor and remember Doris’s life by gathering to celebrate her Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21st in St. Julia Church, 374 Boston Post Rd., Weston. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.
