Waltham – Mr. Dominic J.Caira, of Waltham, died Friday, October 22, 2021 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. He was 83.
Dominic was born in Newton on August 11, 1938, a son of the late Gasperino and Lucia (Lupo) Caira, and was a graduate of Newton High School. Following his marriage to Waltham native Mary E. Puliafico the couple made Waltham their lifelong home. They enjoyed fifty happy years together before Mary's death in March, 2014.
An electrician by trade, Dom worked for years at the Polaroid Corporation, the Raytheon Company and at McLean Hospital in Belmont before becoming the property manager at River City Plaza on River Street in Waltham.
During the late fifties Dominic served with the Massachusetts National Guard. He had also been a member of the Espousal Center Community in Waltham.
As a born again Christian, Dom's faith and devotion to Christ was most important in his life.
He leaves his children, Brenda M. Lewis (Glenn) of Waltham and Rhonda I. Caira (Francis Donovan) of Dedham; his cherished granddaughter, Madison Lewis; his brother, Richard Caira (Donna) of Waltham and several nieces, nephews and their families.
Dom was also a brother of the late Martin, Patricia and Joan Caira.
Funeral services are private.
