Dolores T. (Jacoppo) Donovan

Dolores T. (Jacoppo) Donovan, of Waltham, died Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 78.

She was born in Watertown on August 15, 1947, a daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Caffarelli) Jacoppo, and was a graduate of Watertown High School.

A Waltham resident since 1992, Dolores lived for years prior to that in Lexington where she was the longtime secretary at Harrington Elementary School. She loved her job there and made many friends among faculty and parents. 

The wife of the late Robert D. Donovan, she leaves her children, Lisa Donovan of Athol, Brian Donovan and Jennifer Donovan, both of Waltham; her grandchildren, Christina Donovan, and Sean, Thomas and Eric Hogan; her brother and sisters, Charles Jacoppo of Watertown, Anita Baratta of North Carolina. Marie Jacoppo-Allen of Florida, Linda DiBenedetto of Marlborough and Dorothy Jacoppo of Watertown; five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Dolores’s life by gathering for a Morning Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, October 27th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
