Debra A. (Williams) Martin, of Waltham, died Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. She was 65.
Deb was born in Waltham on April 7, 1960, a daughter of the late George and Priscilla (Thurston) Williams, and was raised in Watertown.
She was a 1978 graduate of Watertown High School before attending Aquinas Junior College in Newton. After that Deb earned her teaching degree at Framingham State College. She was a beloved sixth grade math teacher at Kennedy Middle School in Waltham before retiring a year ago.
Shortly after her 1983 marriage to Robert N. Martin, Jr. the couple made Waltham their lifelong home. The couple and their family created many happy memories during vacations to Falmouth on the Cape and to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Knitting, reading and puzzle solving were favorite activities for Deb but nothing compared to the joy she found spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of forty-two years, Bob, she leaves her children, Robert N. Martin, III of Waltham and Danielle N. Donovan (Tim) of Billerica; her grandchildren, Brooke and Connor Donovan; her sister, Charlene Comeau (Leonard) of Waltham; several nieces and nephews and her beloved pup, Oreo.
Family and friends will honor and remember Deb’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake on Friday, May 16th from 4 to 7 p.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham and again at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Feake Cemetery, Waltham.
