Dante Tuccero

Dante Tuccero, Sr., of Norwood and most recently Walpole, passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2025, following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marie (Malloy) Tuccero.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Donna Marie Sanders and her husband Ron of Raleigh, NC; his sons, Dante Tuccero, Jr. and his wife Patti of Foxborough, and Vincent “Guy” Tuccero of Attleboro. Dante’s legacy continues through his seven cherished grandchildren—Elizabeth and Nathan, children of Donna; Ashley and Erica, daughters of Dante Jr.; and Guy, Maxwell and Alex, sons of Guy—as well as his five great-grandchildren and many devoted nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother, William Tuccero of Waltham.

In addition to his parents, Vincenzo and Maria (D’Amore) Tuccero, Dante was predeceased by his siblings: Gaetano Tuccero, Nancy (Tuccero) Lorusso, Olga (Tuccero) Ruggiero, and Antonia (Tuccero) Testa.

Born in Cerchio, Italy on October 2, 1930, Dante immigrated to the United States in 1938. He attended Waltham public schools and, following graduation, proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Randolph during the Korean War. Upon returning home, he attended Boston University, where he earned a B.A. in Economics and lettered in fencing. During this time, he married Marie, beginning a lifelong partnership in both family and business.

Dante built a successful real estate business, developing and managing apartment buildings first in Boston and later expanding to Stoughton and Foxborough. He was a proud member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dante was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, boating, and skiing. His happiest moments were spent on the water, where he felt most at peace.

Family and friends will honor and remember Dante’s life by gathering for an Afternoon Wake in the Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Sunday, November 23rd from 2 to 4 p.m. immediately followed by his Funeral Service at 4 p.m. Burial at sea will take place at a later time.
