Coraleen P. Pilgrim

December 11, 1947 — March 20, 2026

Sudbury

Coraleen P. (Green) Pilgrim, of Sudbury, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Bear Mountain Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Sudbury. She was 78.

Born in Christ Church, Barbados on December 11, 1947, Coraleen was the daughter of the late Clive and Marcelle Greene. Raised and educated in Barbados, she became a trailblazer for her family when she immigrated to the United States in the early 1970s — the first of her siblings to make the journey, with the rest soon following in her footsteps.

Coraleen built a life defined by hard work, creativity, and an unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit. She served with dedication as a Nurse Assistant while simultaneously pursuing a remarkable range of ventures: wedding coordinator, notary public, and tax consultant. Her artistic talents found expression in hand-crafted ceramics, beautifully decorated wedding cakes, and floral arrangements she designed for weddings and funerals alike. Whatever she turned her hands to, she did with care and skill.

Those who knew Coraleen knew someone who was impossible not to love. Outgoing and full of life, she had a passion for dancing, dressing up, and making an entrance — her signature stylish hats were known to all. She was an extraordinary cook and baker who found genuine joy in feeding the people she loved. A lifelong learner, she was endlessly curious and always picking up something new. She was also the person you could call at any hour — even in the middle of the night with a broken water pipe — and she would show up, ready to help. She treasured travel whenever life allowed, often exploring Massachusetts and New England on day trips that fed her love of the world around her.

Above all else, Coraleen cherished her family — a family that extended far beyond blood. She was the proud and devoted godmother to ten godchildren, and her circle of love touched more lives than could easily be counted.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole M. Pilgrim of Framingham; her siblings, Valda Roach, Eudeen Green, Ivan Green (Noleen), Dorothy Kraayeveld, Delores Green, Lucy Greene, and Roseanne Morris (Jeffrey); many beloved nieces and nephews, including Shawn, Alexandria, Betty, Jacqueline, Ashley, Laura, Paul, Don, Keith, and Sheldon; her ten godchildren; and dear friends who were, in every meaningful sense, family to her.

Family and friends are warmly invited to honor and celebrate Coraleen's life at visiting hours to be held at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Route 20), Waltham, on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. A private burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.
