Christine A. (Egerton) Caramanis, of West Newton, died Tuesday, February 6, 2024 in Parlin Hospice Residence in Wayland.  She was 64. 

Christine was born June 27, 1959 in Middle River, Maryland a daughter of the late Howard R. and Gloria (Baker) Egerton. Raised in Waltham, she was a graduate of Waltham High School. 

She worked as an administrative assistant for Dog Walk Co. in Sudbury, MA and lastly at Reproductive Science Center in Lexington, MA, before retiring. 

Christine loved excursions and vacations to York Beach, Maine and had a keen interest in lighthouses. She enjoyed the read of a good book, especially about the Kennedy’s, but also religiously followed her daily soap operas and talk shows. She was an avid lover of dogs, and was fond of a good snuggle with Zeke, Rusty, Babe, Opie, and the girl she always wanted, Lucy. She looked forward to the holidays, in particular Christmas, where the house was decorated and gifts carefully prepared for family and friends and she cherished the role of being ‘Nana.’ 

She leaves her husband of 35 years, Nicholas Alexander Caramanis; her sons, Michael T. Boucher (Rebecca) of Norwood and Robert C. Boucher of Belmont; her grandchildren, Drew and Briella Boucher, Jazmin and Aaron Brito; her brothers, Howard R. Egerton of Carver, Larry Egerton (Eileen) of Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania, Craig Egerton (Carol) of Driftwood, Texas, and Glen Egerton of Brookline, New Hampshire; also survived by nieces & nephews. 

Family and friends will honor and remember Christine’s life by gathering to visit on Saturday, February 17th from 10:00 to 11 a.m. in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street Waltham followed by her funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial is private.
