Weston

Mr. Charles ‘Chuck’ Malone, Jr., of Weston, died Friday, December 23rd in Sawtelle Family Hospice Home in Reading. He was 73.

Chuck was born on August 11, 1949, a son of the late Charles and Adele (Graceffa) Malone and was raised in Waltham. After graduating from Waltham High School he earned his bachelor’s degree at Curry College in Milton.

After running the family business for several years, C. Malone Trucking, his entrepreneurial spirit led him down a number of paths. His keen business sense and ability to connect with people enabled him to excel in many fields, including real estate, fitness clubs and insurance.

Travel throughout the United States and abroad brought him many friends and life experiences that he cherished.  Chuck was never one to keep still; he was a voracious reader and could always be found with a book, newspaper or magazine in hand and he relished catching up with old friends about two of his favorite topics, current events and basketball. He was also curious about people and known for his ability to strike a conversation with just about anyone and for his keen ability to make others feel at ease and laugh. In addition, he enjoyed a wide variety of foods and took great joy in cooking his favorite meals at home.

He leaves his wife, Anita Hill; his siblings, Camille Poynton of Lexington, Alfeo Malone of Woburn, John Malone of Sudbury and Joseph Malone of Scituate and many nieces, nephews and their families.

Chuck was also a brother of the late Rosario C. “Russ” Malone and Rosalie Tashjian.
