Charles J. Knox

April 4, 1958 — May 8, 2021

Charles J. Knox, a retired IT Consultant and adored brother, uncle and friend, of Brookfield, died Saturday May 8, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 63.

Charlie was born on April 4, 1958, a son of the late Charles and Evelyn (Cherelli) Knox. After graduating from Waltham High School he went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in English at Boston College, where he was a member of the National Jesuit Honors Society. He then attended Babson College, where he graduated with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Charlie worked for many years as an IT Manager and Consultant.

In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, with Italy and Ireland being favorite destinations. He was an animal lover who cared deeply for his cats and dogs. He also loved to cook and was well known among family and friends for his talents in the kitchen. He showed up to every family party and holiday with homemade food to share, and was always sure to bring a little extra so everyone could take some home. He will also be remembered by those who loved him for his infectious laugh and his wicked sense of humor that livened up every place he went.

He is survived by his siblings, Elaine Martin and her husband, John, of Wilmington and Greg Knox and his wife, Carole, of Framingham; his uncle, Leonard Cherelli and his wife, Donna, of Arlington; his nieces, Jamie, Jackie, Jessica, Kelly, Lisa and Erin; his great-nephews and niece, Liam, Eleanor and Maxwell and also leaves many dear cousins and close friends.

Charlie will be laid to rest privately in the Knox family lot at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Memorials in his name may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B, Danvers, MA 01923 or at www.caredimensions.org/giving
