Cesare Pietrangelo, Jr. Esq.

Mr. Cesare Pietrangelo, Jr., Esq.  of Waltham, formerly of Medford, died Wednesday, May 29, 2024, in Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a short illness. He was 81. 

Cesare was born January 11, 1943, in Medford a son of the late Italian immigrants Cesare and Maria (Berardinelli). Raised in Medford he was a graduate of Medford High School. He then earned his Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and his Juris Doctorate from Boston University. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association in 1970 

Cesare began practicing law at a local Watertown firm and then took a position as Assistant District Attorney for Middlesex County. Cesare then enjoyed a long and respected career as general counsel and administrator for the Massachusetts Laborers Union for over forty years. 

He and his wife, Yvette travelled extensively throughout the world and enjoyed membership and friendships with Dante Alighieri Lodge Sons of Italy where he played bocce regularly. Cesare was a member of the Justinian Law Society of Massachusetts. 

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Yvette B. (Bourdelais) Pietrangelo; his sister, Bianca DellaSala (late Anthony)  of Woburn and the late Michelina Pietrangelo; also survived by many nieces, nephews including, Maria Doe (Nick), T.J. DellaSala (Renee Cetrone) and Michael DellaSala and many cousins; his brothers-in-law, David L. Bourdelais (Urai) of Marlborough and Roger Bourdelais (late Helen) of Syracuse, New York. 

Family and friends will honor and remember Cesare’s life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday, June 6^th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 10 a.m. on Friday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
