Carol Borden

Shirley – Carol Borden, of Shirley, formerly of Waltham, died on Wednesday February 2, 2022 in Nashoba Valley Hospital. She was 83.

Carol was born in Waltham on July 20, 1938, the daughter of the late George and Helen (Hoard) Borden. After graduating from Waltham High School she earned her nursing degree from Newton Wellesley School of Nursing. Until her retirement she had worked at both Emerson and Waltham Hospitals. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite spots was Peters Pond in Mashpee.

She is survived by her four sons, Gregory M. LeBlanc (Lauri) of Leominster, Jonathan W. LeBlanc of Shirley, Christopher F. LeBlanc (Sharon) of Framingham and Geoffrey J. LeBlanc of Shirley; her grandchildren, Peyton and Patrick LeBlanc; her siblings, Nancy Prunty of Tuscon, Arizona, Sally Brennan of Tuscon, Arizona and George 'Buzzy' Borden of Shirley and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families.

Family and friends will honor and remember Carol's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Thursday February 10th from 4 to 7 p.m. and again at 11 a.m. on Friday morning where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
