Mr. Anthony A. “Aidan” Reynolds, of Brighton, died Sunday, February 18, 2024 in Saint Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. He was 80.

Born on September 23, 1943 in Dromod, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, he was a son on the late Bernard and Josephine (Molloy) Reynolds. Raised in Ireland he made the courageous journey to America in June of 1958 and settled in Brighton.

In 1964 he met the love of his life, Pauline Molloy at Castle Island. It was a match from the start. In 1967 the pair married and made their Brighton house a home where they would raise their two children, Brian and Tracy.

Aidan was a member of the United States Army Reserves and worked for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority as a bus operator for more than 23 years. He also was a talented and sought after freelance house painter to support his family. He loved traveling back home and telling countless stories from his younger years in ‘the old country.’ In addition he was an avid Boston sports and Irish football fan, and especially loved going to Patriots games.

In addition to his beloved wife, Pauline P. (Molloy) Reynolds, who died January 8, 2022, Aidan is reunited in Heaven with his daughter, Tracy Sheehan, and his brother and sisters, Robert Reynolds, Florence Moushegian, Margaret “Attracta” Hurley, and Loretta Reynolds.

He leaves his son Brian Reynolds (Beth) of Ashland; his son-in-law, Thomas Sheehan of Watertown; his grandchildren, Madeleine and Kate Reynolds, and Maggie and Aidan Sheehan; his brothers and sisters, Concepta Barron of Quincy, John “Sean” Reynolds (Rosemary) of West Roxbury, Bernard Reynolds (Kathy) of Canaan, Maine, his twin Michael Reynolds of Norwood, Vincent Reynolds (Anne) of Watertown, Martin Reynolds (Kathy) of West Roxbury; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.
