Waltham, MA

Waltham – Anthony C. Cocuzzo passed away at home on Friday, November 14, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 66.

Anthony was born on August 26, 1959, in Boston, the son of the late Cesideo and Donata (Salvucci) Cocuzzo, who immigrated from Italy. Raised in Brighton, he graduated from Saint Columbkille High School and later attended Wentworth Institute of Technology. He married fellow Brighton native Susan Capolino on June 18, 1983, at Saint Anthony’s Church in Revere.

Anthony worked as a Construction Manager and Principal at Corderman and Company in Boston. He was a well-liked and highly respected colleague and friend, remaining dedicated to his work until retiring in August, 2020 due to his illness.

Anthony had a deep love of music—especially classic rock—and was an avid drummer and guitarist. He enjoyed bike riding and took great pleasure in repairing bicycles for others. He was proud of his Alfa Romeo and was a devoted Boston sports fan. Friends lovingly described him as “a lover of music, classic cars, a true Boston sports fan, and best of all, a great friend.”

In addition to his wife of 42 years, Susan, he leaves behind their sons, Matthew J. and Michael A. Cocuzzo, and his future daughter-in-law, Heather A. Delaney, all of Waltham. He is also survived by his siblings, Carlo Cocuzzo (Cheryl) and Carolina Faricelli (Joseph), both of Needham.

He leaves his sibling in-laws, Janice Sweeney (Richard) of Dedham, Joyce Russell (Carmen Puopolo) of Walpole, Joe Capolino of Hull, and Annmarie Rodrigues (Michael) of Ashland. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Max and Mia, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Anthony’s life by gathering for an Evening Wake at Saint Susanna Church, 262 Needham Street, Dedham, MA 02026 on Friday, November 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 22nd from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Immediately following, his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Susanna”s Church.
