Mrs. Anna P. (Camarra) Fowler, of Westford, formerly of Waltham died at home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was 96.
Anna was born September 16, 1928 in Watertown a daughter of the late Italian immigrants Camille and Caroline (Alvige) Camarra. Raised in Watertown she was a graduate of Watertown High School. She married James H. Fowler on November 21, 1948 in the former Saint Theresa’s Church on Mount Auburn Street. Longtime residents of Waltham, Jim died January 20, 2014 and in 2021 she moved to Westford to be closer to her daughter. She worked as an inspector for Raytheon Corporation for over 16 years, retiring in 1996.
Anna’s interests included cooking and gardening, friendships from the Waltham Senior Center where she was active in its quilting club. She was a longtime member of Saint Jude’s Parish.
In addition to her husband, Jim, she is predeceased by their son John F. Fowler; grandson John Fowler; her son-in-law Doug Cook; siblings, Lorraine Grinnell and Angelina Arnone.
She leaves her daughter, Laura M. Fowler of Westford; her grandchildren, Danielle Fowler, Jennifer Kroese, Leslie Flanagan, Danielle Fowler, Emily Fowler and Michael Fowler; her great-grandchildren, Cassie and Derek Kroese and Kim and Matt Flanagan; nieces & nephews.
Family and friends will honor and remember Anna's life by gathering for an Evening Wake in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday, June 16th from 5 to 7 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Jude’s Church, 147 Main Street, Waltham where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
